Why don't you buy SF? I guess in your mind it's easier to just have them add them to regular BF2 right? Not gonna happen.

I can tell you use that on servers and you also remove the fog...bad boy, reported to ROE

Yeah, that mod is pretty cool man. Why coudln't DICE do this for ranked servers is beyond me.

I have to agree, they should definitely add the grappling hooks and zip lines to vanilla. It was promised to be in the first release of BF2 but they later changed it to SF only I believe, don't qoute me, I remember reading this but I could be wrong. It would be a great addition and it shouldn't be confined to SF, soldiers in vanilla and all expansions should have zips and grappling hooks.

Apparently, there is an issue with doing so at the Engine level. Not sure if that is just a way of DiCE saying, well there is something that we could do with the Engine, but the cost of porting a patch to update BF2v would not be worth it. Or the system overhead would hurt the game as well.

Dice already said they would not port BF2v maps to SF. And Colin told me they don't expect to convert BF2v maps to night SF maps because, as said earlier, there are 'engine' problems.

No, because it is installed as a separate mod that runs under SF.

Dice already said they would not port BF2v maps to SF. And Colin told me they don't expect to convert BF2v maps to night SF maps because, as said earlier, there are 'engine' problems.

The BFSP team is about to release fully converted BF2 night maps that you can use with night vision goggles. I will be posting an alternate version to my SF Unlocks mod that replaces the binoculars for the NVG.
