    To get rid of stattering

I always have stattering when i'm flying a JET or a helo at the start of the round and when i'm starting up my PC,starting bf2 Special Forces and joining Warlord server -when the loading is complete i press JOIN button my PC start working hard and i get this message (Disconnected from server)
This can be twise then everything is ok.
I was searching intenet for the past one month and i came up with this solution---
My Pc is P4 3.20 GHz
    1536 MB of ram
    Nvidia 6200 256MB
    -------------------
and Virtual memory is 6GB on 2 drives.
    -------------------
So i just disable virtual memory (i dont need it at all since i have 1.5GIG of ram) windows uses 210MB of my ram so the other 1.300Gb is free.
This change everything no more stuttering at all!
I suggest everyone should try it and see if it works for you or not.
    --------
But people who have less then 1GB ram do not try it, this will only decrease your perfomance.

ConscriptVirus in my case WINDOWS XP uses 210-230 MB RAM.
It cannot use more, only if you have anti virus and other stuff running.
But disabling virtual memory help me alot!!
      The game run super smooth.

ok right click on My Computer, and then go to Properties and then click on teh advanced tab and click on settings in the first box labeled performance and then click on advanced tab and click on change and then somewhere in the middle, select No paging file.

You can also dl a program called TuneXP and under Memory and File system, u can select to enable "disable paging executive"

lol, captainblack, nice tutorial. i only got 768mb ram. when i turned off pagefile, bf2 crashed, saying insufficient pagefile. :P
so i turned it back on and,... well, looks like my 15/66.7 is here to stay...

venny, u really getting 15 fps?

and i was gonna ask what would happen if i had a RAM overload and i had disabled pagefiling. the strange thing is that i had it disabled and i ran bf2 (on 512mb of ram) fine w/o any errors

Re: To get rid of stattering

i've been getting 15 fps almost 90% of every game i play and every round. 32 players and above are bad. 64 players will make me teleport 5m at a time. even gliding past an enemy. 20 player, not so often but sudden 15 fps when a chopper or jet or tank or AA drive past. 16 player, the best. but there arent alotta 16 player.
well, its wierd that with your 512mb it works, but my 768mb doesnt. at least i feel good when i get a gold star even when with 15/66.7. :)
and we have about the same gfx card! mine is a 9250 and yours is a 5200! lol

Your Nvidia 6200 wont be helping your stuttering either.

Are you lying? That seems impossible.

                            I have a 6200 also but I'm getting 30-40 fps all low, view distance 70 @1280x1024.

what resolution are you playing at?

I tried this on my computer and it started acting sluggish and seemed to have a negitive impact on my computer, but, it's not like my 2gigs of ram and 7800GS is going to slow me down.
