cant play 64 without lag

hi for some reason i cant play 64 maps with out lag i think i have a good grafx card and a decent amount of ram so i dont know what is going on?
ati radeon x1600 pro 512 mb pcie
amd athlon 64 3400+2.2ghz
1.5 gigs ram
80 gig wd hd
500 watt psu

wat settings r u playing at. ur rig looks pretty nice tho
