statismesh.fx not found

I had to do a system restore, and now when I try to open BF2 I get this error

I've read a fair bit that System Restores can cause all kind of weird and (not so) wonderful things to BF2, try re-applying the 1.3 patch. If all else fails it might have to reinstall.
