*sigh* Baserapers

Was playing on the 1.4 server and this guy was baseraping us as we went for the MEC chopper. I told him to stop baseraping and he goes if you shoot us we can defend ourselves, wtf is with that logic then he tells me there is baserape in war. well umm excuse me but this is a game with uncappables I dont believe there are uncaps in war. So we got in the mec chopper after I finally killed him with the vodnik. I then landed on there heli pad and stole there chopper and my gunner took the cobra and just flew around doing flips and spins. And this guy starts complaining wah wah wah your gay wah wah wah give us our chopper back wah wah wah your gay. wtf is this so yeah its ok to baserape but when we take your chopper you get all :cry:

Which leads me to my question do you think if someone shoots you in a uncap and then you shoot them back is it baseraping?

I dont usually worry about it. I play SAK most of the time, but when I do play maps like Dragon Valley and Ghost Town, the server doesnt allow base rapping. That includes arty.

If I see an enemy, I try and kill them...simple as that. I try to not park myself in a noncap because it's usually pointless (unless I'm blowing up assets) but even then I just destroy them and steal a piece of armor if available.

Plus, baseraping empties servers and is gay.

yes it is. but that doesnt matter because base rape is completly valid, what this guy said is entirly right, its battlefield. it may be a game but its a game of war. what makes you think that just because a base cant be captured, that you are somehow safe from attack just because you are there. the whole no uncapturable attack argument negates the role of combat support. its like saying you can only attack guys that wont let you cap a flag. thats insane, the game may be about caping flags to an extent but the real underlying thing the game is about, is killing the enemy. i think people lose sight of this fact. also, on maps with only one uncapturable, that rule is even more screwed up, totally unfair!

Bro, I feel your pain...Its been going on forever, but there should be a main baserape for everyone to vent, there are like 20 threads asking whether its valid or not, or what do you think, or when do u rape?

perhaps DICE can set up a system where both enemies cannot fire untill they acknowledge each other's presence, wave, and then have a 3rd party say "go" so that they can then engage in battle at the same time.

Wtf.. If you are getting spawnkilled or "baseraped", either, don't spawn there, leave the server, wait untill a different flag is taken, or do something about it.... Don't be an idiot and cry about it by making a thread.


I will not attack an uncap unless ALL flags are taken. At that point, the enemy team is usually too worthless to even do anything and nobody makes any points anyway because the round only lasts about five mins.


Also, please note that sometimes you just CAN'T possibly take a flag due to there being 32 enemy players in a very small area. The only way you can have a chance to get it is to constantly attack it until the enemy does one of the things I stated above. If you have ever played Warlord and been fighting in the Palace you will see what I mean.

If they sit in a tank or chopper or whatever then it's base raping BUT if he is hiding somewhere and nabbing you then tough titties. Thats the idea of the game. Find somewhere else to spawn and or go and find the enemy and kill him. You where right to pinch there chopper cause I'd do the same. OR find another server. Don't winge while playing just go and win. I don't have time to read or for that matter type anything while playing.
