grappling hooks

ok ive requested this before
and im into making mods
but how can i get a grapple hook to hook onto a helo?
this could be used, after enuf work, for makeshift fastroping

any ideas, and no, this is for SF not mod section
because i wana know what others think about it
and if anyone has something that already does this.

You can't. DICE has not enabled the grapple hook to stick on any vehicle.

Either hardcoded or unknown code modification to the mod community.

Wow, this would be a really good idea. I'd like to see people grapple down from blackhawks as opposed to parachuting down. Plus, it would look kind of funny with a bunch of guys hanging from a rope on the rail of a helocopter. It's like a ghetto army's way of getting around. :p

Yes, it would be very cool. I don't know why DICE won't cooperate and give the mod community what we want/need.

They don't want us waterskiing behind the boats.

The main reason they cited for removing fastroping is in most playtesting it was underutilized. Most players "chuted"

Regardless, DICE needs to pay attention.

The mod community should be able to modify commander assets, enable destructible claymores, create sticky grapple hook, and more...

Agreed. IRL in Iron Gator we should be able to grapple up to the carrier and not have the stuff just disappear.

IRL, American troops zip down a line from their helicopters, we should be able to drop these lines down.
