Your underestemating the weapon. Im not bragging but I can usually out gun a PKM when we are both in the open, then heal myself and go on to next victom. You have to know how to use it good, but its awsome, I very rarly go prone either. I find L85 extreamly unaccurate.

i was sharing a tactic that i find help ful when cover is availible, works extremely well against snipers. and o nteh occasion when i use it i can also beat PKm's and otehrs in open combat all it is is two clicks of a button

It really depends on what you mean by "best"...

If it's a public game and your goal is accruing points, which I rarely care about, and it's on one of the city maps... usually you can dominate with medic or support. With half a brain and some practice you can take out enemies at close, medium, and long range with the medic's AK. Join a squad and stick with them and you'll be point leader in very little time.

But lets face it, sometimes reviving just doesn't make enough of a difference to guarantee a victory. Why risk your life reviving three noobs that will just go run off and get themselves killed again? They probably won't even follow you to the flag, because they're too busy taking pot shots at someone half-way across the map. Some people just don't deserve to be revived, I guess.

Support's another good choice, find the team with the higher Death to Kill ratio and keep the stocked. You might ask why the crappy team? Well, it's simple... they're probably chewing through more ammo to pull just to get a single kill and they're probably outnumbered, meaning more resupply points and more targets for you. And secondly, it's teams like that which actually benefit from a single good player joining up, that one machine gun barkin' at the right times could keep them all covered and might actually allow one of them to stop camping and make a push. I get a special kind of thrill after joining a losing game and pulling it back with nothin' but a few other noobish players.

For the initial push I typically go with one of the stock assault kits, when a guy in my squad dies, or a key person goes down I'll take over there kit and fill that role. This has earned me a lot of stolen kills and key positions in the first couple minutes of the game as I pull a fallen spec ops kit up and detonate the C4 he failed to get off before he was mauled by the tank.

Assault is a bit slow for foot advancement though, so I find myself switching at the first oppurtunity to something more specialized. Plus, I hate the noob-tube, even though it's easy to use. I much prefer the lobbed grenades because of the extra degree of tactics they allow.

If I'm playing a clan ladder match, almost 3/4 we're running anti-tanks and medics. And doing well there might mean you die 15 times... but you take out every piece of armor that attacks your assigned flag.

So, to put it more succinctly, anything but sniper. Sniper is fun... for about five minutes. I don't care how few deaths you got, or how many head shots you pulled. They're good for one thing, and the sad thing is, it's not sniping, it's claymores. Some say they're overpowered, and maybe they're right, nothing else guarantees you a kill like a claymore. So unless I'm commanding a 5v5 match, sniper is my least favorite class, though it's probably one of my biggest point winners when I do play it.

all depends on the situation,

as soon as i log into a server i always go medic, no matter what map or size, just because i can survive the longest and assess the situation then i'll spawn back as a different kit if required

i play medic (ak 101 ftw) and ATthe most probably, they are the only kits you need to truly master to be sucessful in this game imo

my class are the underloved ones - AT and Engy. AT for pure all-in-one solution, engy for.. i dont know what for, but i simply like to play the underdog. and pancor is deadly if someone can cure his trigger-squeze

and btw - in infantry only mode.. medic and ak-47..

I had to work to get SO over 100hrs, and I'm doing the same for Engy and AT, so that I can get the 40.

However, ASSAULT, infantry style, has been my #1 kit. Had double the amount of time than those other classes, and hit 40 the honest way playing on Sharqi64 (fav map).
