lightbread, you would be surprised at the difference it would make with your old stick

doggie, it took me less than one full round to get used it, since my plane was now flying level my bombing accuracy increased ten-fold and it was alot easier to take out a helo without me fighting to keep the plane steady

"DXTweak only works correctly under Windows 98, Windows
98SE, and Windows Me. DXTweak will run under Windows2K
and WindowsXP however, the deadzone setting will not
persist. Microsoft has acknowledged that there is no
recognized way of setting a persistant deadzone for
Windows 2K and Windows XP. We are trying to get a fix
for this in the next version of DirectX"
so the deadzone will not save using XP, but even though the deadzone setting is useless the other adjustments work flawlessly and are a huge help

The deadzones in fact DO get saved so dont pay attention to the warning. Ive been playing with different zone settings.

Im using XP with the old Windows settings, I like it more.

how do you get the deadzones to save, after I apply the new settings and go in the game try them out, I go back to DXTweak2 and all the deadzones are back to 0
am I doin something wrong

Unless you call the richer people "inferior"; by all means. Every time I see people bash joystick users I get two ideas. Either they lack cash, or they lacked cash, got used to the mouse and now think its the end of the road.

1. Create a profile
2. Change deadzone settings
3. Hit apply
4. Hit save
5. Enjoy

aaah AGAIN thanks Chris, saved the profile, which saved my deadzone settings and flying was even EASIER
hell my JS isnt half bad now LOL

Enjoy your pwnage, my good sir. I had 3 settings to choose from. 1 was for twitchy and fast response times for dogfights. 2 was blunt for ATS action and third was default. You should check it out to get that best setup for yourself.

Chris, I hope you've realised you havn't explained HOW to use the Tool. If you put a guide in showing the user HOW to use and what all the Deadzone etc are then you'd be a legend..Well, mine anyway :P

Theres a small one on the first page. DXTweak2 is for Joystick perfomance. I imagine you are haing problems with JoyToKey?

One question; is there some kind of hot keys available? I mean, can you change the profile during game play? I've always wanted to have possibility to switch my settings during flight. I fly copters with stick also and my play style is quite different between those crafts.
