Help transfering ea downloader files to another PC

Hello everyone

Thank you for your help.

I have 2 PCs one running XP and another running W2K. I have BF2 installed in the Windows2000 pc.

I wanted to get the expansion packs, and tried to install EA downloader into the W2k PC, did not work.

So, I thought what the heck, I can download it into my XP machine and burn a CD copy or transfer the files of the new updates to W2k PC.

I bought the updates for both Armored and European expansion packs, and download then to my XP machine. EA downloader upacked the files (no idea where) and said ready to Install.
I tried to install getting the error BF2 is not found. Well no kidding, is not in this PC, is on my other W2K PC.

Now I am stuck, It seems that the files are somewhere in the XP PC, can not find them and can not transfer to te W2K PC. I have a LAN connection the I could also use to transfer.
Either way I need your help with this issue.

EA Downloader downloads the install files to C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/EA Downloader/cache

Hi.
Take a look in : C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader\cache\Your username
That is where the install files is stored.
What i do when ever i reinstall, i have a backup of the whole Electronic Arts folder, and just drop it back in after reinstall.
You should have 1 folder per expansion/booster, there is a setup.exe in each one of them...

I will look there. I take it the downloader makes the folders in program files, eventhough the PC never had BF2 installed?

look in your C drive under program files

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader\cache

Have a look in there and you will find them. They are in a eagamesbf2-2006online folder. I've just made a cd copy of both folders as well.

Hello again

I installed Euro and Armored packs. Now the game crashes whenever I want to any maps. The new game page loads,but when I press "Join" whole game crashes and throws me out onto Windows.
Games played fine until install both extension packs.
I have tried to intall updated 1.3 for BF2 after, but nothing either.
