  • VPU Recovery problem

    Hello my friend has a Dell Dimension 3000

    He recently bought a ATI Radeon 9250 series with 256 PCI (not PCI-E) card to try and play bf2

    SPECS:
    p4 2.8ghz
    512mb ram
    new PCI ATI 9250


    I got his card to start bf2 and everything but now its giving a VPU recovery error

    here is a screenshot

      He needs at least 1GB of ram and an agp 8x or pci-e graphics card, with a compatible motherboard.

        yep i dont think that card is compatible with the game. Aslo, the game needs atleast 1GB to run smoothly. PS i see there's too many programs running in the background. Use this windows tweak guide to send u in the right direction.

          I had the exact same with my old 9800, I originally thought it was a temperature problem, gave up and went nVidia, never looked back.

            Tried disabling VPU recover in catalyst control center? It's worth a shot, but I wouldn't expect much. That was a low end card three years ago; there's no way you're going to enjoy playing BF2 with it today.
