I was wondering, BF2 runs on my comp quite a bit slower FPS wise than it should, and I was wondering if it was because I am playing BF2 in widescreen, by using the command things in the shortcut.
My resolution is 1192 by 648 because I play on a large HD projector. That seems like it should be roughly equivalent to 1024 by 768, but is it harder for BF2 to run?
Comp is 2.6 ghz pentium 4 hyperthreaded, 6600 GT AGP by BFG, 1500 mb ram. pc3200 ram.
Could it be audio? I have an audigy 2 zs and run audio on high, i dont think it was lagging me before, could a patch have introduced a problem?
If not, is there anything I can do to improve FPS other than buying something, defragging, running anti spyware or something else?
Does anyone perhaps know what best Nvidia drivers there are for BF2? Ive been running 78.01 as they seem fastest.
Also, when i installed the latest nvidia drivers (84 something I think) when the computer restarted it was in a very low color and resolution, and refused to let me change it in nvidia settings like it usually does.
I just restored it back to when i had 78.01, which is what it is now. Is there any way i can save my current resolution settings and everything, so that when i install a driver it doesnt go below 256 color and everything?
