Is this just me?

Hi, I'm still learning to fly. I think I almost have choppers mastered but one when using my keyboard and only in 3rd person view. Is it just me or is it easier to control the position of your aircraft in 3rd person view?

Now that I almost have flying mastered using keyboards I'll see how much harder it will be to master it in 3rd person view using my joystick. Any thoughts on that would be welcomed as well. Have a great day, Mo.

For me its much easier to use the first person view in helicopters when using the mouse with sensitivity up all the way.

And in aircraft never fly in anything but first person and only when using a joystick. These are the only wasy you can really survive.

Lol funny thing is when I first started playing BF2, I started using the Aircraft in 3rd person, its hard when you think about it. Now I always use 1st person.

Only use 3rd person views in a Plane just to check and see if a plane is at your 6.

I use F10 (external view) in helicoptors for landing and manuevering in tight spots - So i'm with you on that UncleMo

However, if you're going to shoot something - you'll need to hit F9 (twice).

In the blackhawk - I only use cockpit view I'f I'm going fast through a city. Otherwise I must use external view to check for targets for my door gunners.

heh, wow. im in the same boat as u Mo. i used to be that way until late last night when i had an idea, and a damn good one at that. customize ur flight controls. now flying first person with the mouse is much, much easier. bsides when in an attack chopper u can actually aim as opposed to just pointing the helo at the enemy and crossing ur fingers in hope that u hit somebody.

i kept it much the same with the exception of inverting the controls and lowering the mouse sensitivity. however, everybody has different prefferences. i recommend just experimenting with different settings in an empty server or on singleplayer.:p
