I won't be buying another multiplayer game full stop. BF2 is good enough, even with all the dodgy patches. I don't play BF2 as much as I did 6/7 months ago because I am a little short of time. I'm trying to cut back on how much 'screen time' I am exposed to.

I can't see 2142 bringing anything new to the table. They are using the same engine as BF2, and bringing in new weopons and maps will only satisfy players for so long. Players will become bored with 2142 ALOT faster than they got bored with BF2. 2142 is just a way for EA to make a little dough before they invest in research for the next BF engine.

My advice is play BF2 and do not buy 2142.

The only reason I have to get 2142 is that I'm a fan of the BF series and love the vehicle AND infantry aspects of it.

But the way DICE used us and BF2 as beta testers and a beta program for 2142 disgusts me.

EDIT: I'll stick with BF2 for a while anyways. Futuristic combat isn't my cup of tea.

ill defo get 2142, but i think BF2 is a class game, and if it is as bad as people really complain about, they can stop playing at any time, but they also like it too. well if i do end up not playing this i defo got my money worth out of it

I love BF2 and will buy BF2142 the day it comes out. In fact, I am quite looking forward to it.

sorry DICE/EA, I am not going to play a game that is full of robots. I am going to keep playing bf2 until punkbuster stops banning cheats.

i will NOT buy 2142, the BF series has always been the filler of the near to realism fps niche if i want to play future wars i'd go buy starwars....who ever the IDIOT is as EA or DICE that approved this game"s (2142) concept, well hi head should roll for not doing market research on what niche BF has been filling,
