Hi I started playing a couple weeks ago and i tried searching for this answer on the forum but i get back too much "junk" and so I must ask. I like to be an enginerd when I play and lay down those mines in nice strategical patterns. However, I don't know how long those mines last so after I lay em, I just run and hide so I don't die all for the sake so my mines can live!!! My question is how long do those mines last? Do they just last one life cycle and disappear when you die? And is there only a certain number I can put down because sometimes I just pick up resupply packs and keep dropping those babies down? I think it lasts as long as your kit is still in the game (it hasn't disappeared). So if you really want to keep the mine there, just run to your previous kit and pick it up. -

I think you can have 6 or 7 down at a time. After that whenever you drop one, one of your previuos one's disaapears. Not sure how long they will stay there though. I think you can die without them disappearing immediatley. I've changed kits after dieing and got mine kills after that.Comment

You can have 5 mines down at any one time. When you get resupplied and drop #6 the #1 mine disappears.
When you die your mines stay active until your kit disappears. Picking your kit back up keeps the mines alive/active.
Someone else picking your kit up will also keep the mines active.
Same thing applies for all the other classes that drop objects.Comment

The same doesn't seem to hold true for claymore's though. More then once, I've gotten claymore kills well after I died and respawned. And also watched the claymores of snipers I've killed sit there long after his kit disappears.Comment
