That could be a problem on your pc where pingplotter can't access the port. You should repair your tcp/ip stack with this utility and try again...

Some servers don't support ping, if they don't you should still see their name resolved to an i.p. address, but you will get 100% packet loss.

I defraged and winsockxpfix. I got nothing. I'm gonna try to reinstall the modem drivers and see what that does. Weird I don't have a problem connecting to the Countrstrike Source servers. But let's face it, BF2 is the surerior game.

OK so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall my modem and when I got the the step where it checks the connection between the computer and modem I get "Couldn't connect to you computer TRY AGAIN" I tried to set it up with both the Ethernet and USB and nothing. WTF! I hve a brand new HP m7480n and a motorola surfboard SBV5120. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON! Any help would be great.

I'd give the modem a hard reset and try again.
But you need to be sure you know how to re-configure it with your logon details etc.

If it came bundled from your internet service provider then they might have come across the problem before, so their help desk might be worth a try.

Wow your in New Zeland, very awesome. I got a ticket into Optonline and Motorola. Motorola suggested I call the help line and talk to one of thier techs.

OK not like anybody cares but I'm "IN". I gave my box a system restore after something else happened and I'm now kicking butt and taking names!

Sweet! Keep your anti virus and spyware programs up to date! Don't use Internet Explorer it's just full of holes, use Firefox for your browsing and keep the system clean.
