One of my friends was telling me that the creators of BF2 are passing their work to the team that created BF vietnam because they are working on 2142 and don't have the time to do the patches for BF2 has anyone heard of anything like that because that might really suck!

actually DICE Canada is making all the patches and game is beeing developed by DICE sweden (or is it finland?). and its been this way quite a while now, so yes you are right, but its like years old news

As I understand it, Dice developed all of the BF games (1942, Vietnam, 2 and now 2142). The team that wrote Vietnam probably has been disbanded with developers moving on to other areas within the company so I would not expect that there is a BF Vietnam "team" as such. I do have vague mental bells ringing though about some development work being done in Canada when the majority is done in Sweden. It could be that BF2 is being passed on to the Canada team while the Swedish team concentrates on 2142. Maybe that's what he meant.Originally posted by cmall1113Comment
