Virtual Dub help

Ive had virtual dub for a while but every time i choose DivX or Xvid, it turns a 2 min. video into 124 MB, thats too large for a 2 minute video, how can i change the Compression Size? step by step

Yea ive read that, and i dont have Divx pro, you have to pay for it, is there a way where i can just set a projects size?
