Type-85 would probably be the worst. Interestingly enough, the BFHQ description of it says it's full auto/semi auto, yet where exactly is the semi-auto in-game? Close runner-up for me would be the Saiga, simply because it takes about 4 shots to get a kill with it and by then you have to reload a new clip or you won't have enough left for another kill. Pump shotties > semi-shotties, although the DAO is good because it's got 12 rounds.

And no, the snipers are FAR from the worst weapons. Close up, sure, but who the hell goes looking for close encounters when they're sniper, except for claymore tossers? o_O I've actually been playing Sniper a lot more lately, not only because I want to get my hours up with the kit, but also because it's nice to have a gun (specifically L96, but M24 when I'm US) where I can watch someone insta-prone on me 100m away and be able to line up the crosshairs on his head and, get this, actually hit what I'm aiming at! That alone makes the snipers unique among the guns in BF2.

Yes, that is a terrible gun too... having said that the old Mp5 aint too hot either.

the EF mp5 is ok , but vanilla the PLA AT gun (is the type 95) and mp5 suck imo all the other gus are ok

I'd have to say it's a tie between the PLA (Type 85) and USMC (MP-5) AT submachineguns. At least the MEC AT SMG has a 45 round clip.

shotguns. I absolutely hate shotguns unless I'm standing next to the guy I'm shooting at.

Not at all. The L85A1 gives you single shot head shot capability. You just haven't met someone who can use it. That, or you're a diver. I somehow manage to get more kills than deaths without diving from standing to prone. :p Who would've thought?

I think there's a science to this; ie: when someones lying down, granted it is a smaller target, but equally, it is much easier to hit them in their biggest damage spot- their head.

LOL!!! Agreed:laugh: It's not the most intimidating looking weapon in the game. I'd be more afraid at someone with a pistol than that puny little thing.

Dude the sniper rifle is FAR from the worst. Zero close range? With the M24 it's really dificult to pull off but it's been done. The SVD is a close range beast. Try actually sniping with it rather than running into people if you find that it sucks

The anti-tanks SMGs are the worst weapon to try to kill some one with you would be better off with a BB gun

Worst wepon in game all around is the sniper rifle

Zero close range combat unless your elite
bolt action (except svd)
cant defend yourself while capping a flag unless some noob runs at you.
The thing is truely useless,only way its useful is a distance (and a couple of the other guns are good as this at a distance so)

Sniper rifle is fun to use though.

I think there might be a few people who disagree with you on this one, including me. I agree at close range its a disability, but at medium range it aint that bad if you're quick and at long range it is unparallelled (there is no gun, no matter how accurate it is, that has such a bitchin scope). Oh and you can defend yourself with every snipers best friend, a claymore!

I agree with the topic starter. WTF is with the Type 83 or whatever it's called. It looks like a stick with a handle. No semi-auto? Also. . . MK3A1. Just. . . no that gun sucks.
