The J-10 is a fantastic aeroplane IRL.

The F35 is also a decent aeroplane, but it is trying to make the best of a bad situation. It's realistically trying to replicate a Yak-141's technology in a semi stealthy design. And only marginally sucessfull at that.

Interestingly enough, the J-10 should actually be calles the Q-10, as in "Qian Shi", meaning atack.

Coupled to an electronically scaning phased-array X band radar, and IIRC a FLIR of some sort.

The JSF on the other hand, has to lug around an almost useless lifting fan. During flight this engine just sits there, and adds weight. It doesn't help the aircraft at all to do anything even remotely useful. The only reason theMarines will fly the F38B STVOL is because their carriers are set up with ski ramps to take the AV8B, and it will cost too much to replace their carriers.

Incidently, the F35B will IRL carry inferior missiles to the Q-10. The Q-10 will carry the almost the entirity of the Russian, Chinese and probably Western missile compliment, with bombs.

The F35B will only be ableto carry 2 ASRAMS and 2 bombs.

This isn't well reprisended in BF2, because BVR kills simply can't happen, given the size of the maps in the game.

While the F35 is reputed to have a fairly small RCS, it isn't anything as near invisible as the F22 should be.

And on that note, while the machines might be great, the man behind the stick is still the deciding factor. Look at the USA's humiliating "loss" to the Indians flying their SU-27's. The sad fact of the matter is the Indian Airforce pilots are better trained than the USAF's F15 pilots.

Incidently, the J-10 probably also has helmet mounted sights. This technoilogy has been available for ages, and IIRC the Russians were the firt to field it anyway.

ive said it before and ill say it again, the problem isnt jet handling, its the aa and flares simply not working correctly. you could change the handling characteristics of jets and aa all day, but that wont fix the problem. the problem is the code simply doesnt work correctly and needs to be fixed so that missiles that fly up to your engine detonate, rather than changing cource. one more time, THE PROBLEM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HANDLING!

Handling = ability to create opportunities to engage successfully

Better handling = better ability... ... successfully.

From what I understand, its a problem with hitboxes. Check Eurofighters hitbox, known for its missile deflector shield. Check J10s hitbox. Now compare those to the truck called JFS, which is small in size, but HUGE hitbox wise.

I vsaid it before. Create hitboxes that in area, and rear coverage match for all fighters. And a little larger ones for the bombers. And youve got balance.
