I'm amazed that actually works, SteelWolf! I tried it out just then, shooting in the exact same place, and couldn't believe it when the APC actually blew up. Nowhere else does the vehicle seem vulnerable to a .50 cal, though.

Reminds me of that old Black Hawk weakness wherein you could destroy a full-health BH with a single AT rocket. I used to love playing AT and taking up a concealed position near a USMC helipad, waiting for the Black Hawk to fill up with enemy soldiers and then, just as it was taking off, launching that single rocket into the front part of the landing gear. I never succeeded in doing it while the Black Hawk was flying, though; it was just too small an area to hit with any kind of precision.

Likewise, I'm sure that spot on the APC would be virtually impossible to hit (let alone with the required consistency) if you went head-to-head with one during a rolling battle ... and it only takes a few rounds from the APC to tear the FAV to pieces.

Oh well ... still a cool thing to know!
