L96A1 sniper rifle

I have the L85A1 medic gun, and the M95 Sniper rifle unlocked and jsut obtained Sargent rank, so i can unlock another weapon, i want to unlock the L96A1 Sniper rifle but it's not available as one of the weapons on the unlock selection screen. ...do i have to get all weapons before i upgrade to the L9 sniper rifle?

You need to have Special Forces installed to get the L96.

u have to get special forces and then play a round then start vbf2, log in and vuala

yeah or give your account name and password to someone you TRUST and that has Special Forces and get him/her to play for a round on SF

aww thanks. if i get the expension pack, can i still use the Bf2 disc to run the game? or do i have to use the expension pack disc?

It's available in stores or download from EA. (The later "booster packs" are download-only.)

You can just use the regular BF2 disc. However, if you join an SF server with the original BF2 booted up, the game will close and re-open, automatically log you in, and join the server.

you can use either disc to load either game.

If you do have someone else get those unlocks for you I would suggest changing your password afterwards.Better safe than sorry.:)

that's a negative, soldier!!!!! i did not have the SF pack installed, much less purchaced, and i was able to unlock the L96A1 sniziper machine unit without doing anything...............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well you managed to play a level on Mass destruction under your username which, last time i checked, is on Special forces????

u need to get sf then uninstall all bf2 of your pc, install bf2 then sf then full1.3patch, then go on sf finish one game, if your a sergeant you must have 6 unlocks n when you finish first game on sf you will get another 6 unlocks.

Very simply, what you need to do is get a point playing SF using your account. How you do that doesn't matter. Whether you play on someone else's computer, have someone else play using your account, or install SF on your own computer doesn't matter. And once that's done you don't need SF at all in order to get the extra unlock per rank or the extra guns available.
