    Joysticks?

I've always wondered if it is possible to use joysticks when flying in bf2. I'm sure its possible, but is it worth it? Now the helicopters I can fly easily, whether it be a transport, attack, or little-bird type chopper. But, I cant fly jets. With the mouse I have to keep moving it back to make tight manuevers, and with the keyboard I cant be fluid enough.

So; if it even can be done, is it worth it? Does a joystick (anyone w/ experience trying this) make flying any easier?

What will help you a lot right now is the search button, I suggest you try it first.

Yes get Logitech Extreme 3D Pro - I have it, t's good.

You do need a joystick to fly the jets - it gives more control, much more comfortable.

You'll get a LOT of opinions on joystick vs mouse/keyboard.

It's all really personal preference..I prefer a joystick for flying the jets and helos. But you'll get lots of peopler replying here with 'mouse and keyboard is better'.

So, I'd suggest you try a joystick..you'll probably enjoy it.

I use the Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 but it's discontinued

I recently bought a second one on eBay just so I'd have a backup.

fact is - you can't do a smoth loop-the-loop in a jet without a joystick because you have to pick up the mouse. while that mouse is in the air - you're goin straight.

The 3d pro is a great joystick, i've had mine for about six months and it still works like the day i opened the box.

Set a key on the mouse for "pull up" motion to even up a bit on the balance between a mouse and JS.
