Will this give me better performance?

I picked up an Audigy 4 today at compUSA for $50- will this make BF2 run any better? Here are my specs if that's relevant:

Athlon 64 3000+ (754)
1.5gb DDR333
MSI RS482-M IL Motherboard
ATi Radeon X800 (128mb)

Not always i recently bought and X-fi and i've ahd a performance boost, not a whole lot, but it plays better, plus it sounds awesome

from what i been told long time ago, any sound card will give you a little boost on performance since you are taking some load off the cpu. When i mean boost i mean like 2-3 fps more.

mabye if you remeber to disable the on-board sound.

baically if u had cheap onboard sound b4, itll take some load off the cpu (i think)
