they should've left the tank for a sneaky enemy to take - an empty vehicle is 50% hostile.

Yes but if you see that one of your guys is already running towards the tank, are you going to race him for it even if there is a flag to take?
I think that's more what he meant. Three or four guys going for the tank, and nobody to take the flag.

The only time I have intentionally TKd is when the commander kept spamming the radio, so a medic and I kept doing the knife, revive, knife, revive, knife until he left.

Unfortunatly DICE left a lot of loopholes in this game that allow certain individuals to grief other people without any means of retribution. It is for this reason and this reason alone that TKing in some circumstances is legitimate.

One example of a situation where I have no problem TKing a player is when I'm sitting waiting for a plane to spawn with my trusty medic kit (only useful kit in a plane) and the other player waiting has an M95. Only one reason exists to be waiting for a plane with an M95 - and it is a very unsavory one. I know that if I hop in the plane I'm getting shot out so I'm inbetween a rock in a hard place. Why even bother waiting for the plane to spawn if I know that no possible means exist for me to actually take off with it. The only fair solution to the above scenario is to kill the offending player, a pre-emptive strike if you will.

On a related note.. please do not bring an M95 to the airplane hanger.... thank you in advance.

no offense - but you don't know if you're getting shot out. You're assuming.

Bottom line here? Dont TK intentionally! If you are the victim of a tk, be smart- did you run into an errant grenade? Was it an accident? Dont be so quick to punish. And do not fight over vehicles and kill your teammates. That is just so ignorant & childish and defies all logic of engagement. Your turn will come eventually or you can just as easily find another server. Seems simple to me.

I'm not assuming, I'm just thinking logically. If you can think of a legitimate reason why someone would be at a runway with an M95 other than the opportune teamkill for an easy vehicle snag.. then I'd like to hear it. It's not different than someone waiting for the plane with a Spec Ops, having them throw down C4 where the plane spawns and sit with the detonator. It's a way to threaten other players that "If I don't get this plane, you won't either!".

It makes no sense really if someone is waiting at the airfield with anything other than a medic kit. A medic kit gives you the most sprint to get to the airfield fast, you can defend yourself on the runway with the great weapon, you can heal yourself if you are injured by a sniper or a falling bomb, you can revive nearby pilots who might've been sniped or killed by a bomb, and when you actually do get in the plane you've got the only useful kit in a plane that allows you to fly out of bounds and survive much longer which gives you a tactical advantage in a dogfight.

Everytime I've seen an M95 on a runway, that person has either TKed or attempted to TK the person in the plane. The only time you'll see them hold off is if multiple people are around the plane or maybe an admin or related clan nearby or waiting themselves.

You're not doing too good a job either...playing BF2 still with kids...and a wife...sad. Hey, my parents are always there for you man, they can give you some parenting tips. . For one, don't play video games when you're past 30, you'll only increase the nerdiness of you and your kids.
Whatever. You really need to get some control. Out of this conversation. I really can't have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent!

Point taken PlaneWhore but I do not tk them even if they do have an M95 and they only actually use it on me 50% of the time (not a good average I know).

I completely agree that the tk/punish system in this game is one of it's worst features. It is a shame nothing has been done about although I have heard some excellent suggestions.

sure its powerful and you get lots of kills, but i HATE it when it happens to me, so i disagree cos you're just another one of the ***ers you are talking about

At startup when you go to capture the flags where the tanks spawn. You have a vodnik with 4 people and as soon as you get to the flag three of the ****ers go and jockey to try and getthe tank. Leaving you alone ot capture the flag. I found the perfect cure for this. Intentional Tamkilling the ****ers who are more concerned for the tnak than the flag. Now some of you will think I'm off my rocker and judging by my stats I will admit I do like armour. But if I don't get it I don't get it. That's why I can't fly worth crap can never get my hands on a plane. Now I'm not saying it's allright to TK for a vehicle but come on show some class and grab the flag then grab the tank.
My poll question is do you agree with my plan or desagree?
Disagree definitely! I would say thats team work, some people cap the flag, other go off and make sure the enemy can't get the tank and kill your squad with it and then take the flag you've just capped!

TK'ing someone on your own team because you've got a certain way of playing is ridiculous. Everyone plays differently and thats one of the good points with this game. I wouldn't go round shooting me own team because i think they should be playing the way i feel they should.
