No "Connecting to account server" stuff, insta-log in.

For the last couple days, my game has been doing something strange, and awesome.

I double-click the icon on my desktop, it sits at a black screen for about 7 seconds, then I am logged in and ready to play.

I dont have to hit "Connect" or select my account or anything.... anybody else get this?

never had that happen before.
does it show everything as normal like stats and servers and the such.

I think it must have something to do with having such and snazzy avatar here

Do you have username and password in the BF2 shortcut?
eg. +playerName YourName +playerPassword YourPassword

As AlphaNut said, putting your login details into the shortcut bypasses the need to use the mouse to login.

Never had that, maybe u use Xfire or something?

nah, my shortcut hasnt changed.

I will say, however, that over the past week or so I have had many more instances of the "Private bug". You know, the one when you log into a server and it says you are a private instead of your real rank?

I wonder if its related.

My BFHQ shows all my accurate info though.
