scroll wheel?

Starting 2 days ago i cant use the scroll button on the mouse to change weapons what am i doing wrong?

Don't then, scroll wheel is for noobs, use the number keys :p

You could try setting controls to default or deleting your controls.con file, if that doesn't work, its windows or your mouse which is the problem.

the connection inside the scroll wheel may be dirty, you find some cleaver for electronic connectors at radioshack or somethin like that

EA hates the scroll wheel, they are too dumb to even make it functional in the server browser or BFHQ

Yeah--probably a dirty sensor. Hasn't anyone told you not to eat cheetos during frag sessions?

Take it apart, take pictures along the way so you know how it is supposed to look when it's reassembled, put the little pieces in a coffee mug, and clean it thorougly. Reassemble when done.

Oh, and don't use the scroll wheel to select weapons. Map your pistol to one of the side keys, the knife to the other, and your primary weapon to the scroll wheel button, and you can switch to the other AT rocket or healing/ammo/paddles/C4 using the "g" key+fire. Much, much more efficient use of keystrokes, and you don't have to take your finger off the fire button for any length of time.
