And how many 13 year olds do you know who have a few hundred £ or $ sitting around they use to pay for said server?
Most server admins are over the age of 18/20 id say, and a significant percentage probably older than that.
How about many of the same kids that have the cash to buy a $2000 computer? Either that or maybe there are quite a few immature 18/20 year olds out there...

There is a difference between persuading mummy to buy a PC which will last a fair few years and is more than liikely for use of the whole family, than getting her to pay for a several hundred $ server every 3/4 months for which she see's no return.
Either that or kids theses days are spoilt way to much.
Re: WTF...new rule: "cartillery is not allowed" ...urgh
I would say spoiled or more actually have "disposable income". If that computer is tied up several hours a day by the kid who wants to get all the awards and has 1000 hours, I would have to redefine "family computer"-

Yes, there is hogging of technology. Personally, I have no clue where the clan leaders are getting their money. If I had a job...the last thing that I would do is to spend $xxx dollars of my income on a stupid game. However, you still see people doing it, it is because they are dedicated, and I respect them for trying to make this gaming community a better one.

Only bad commanders, or commanders with bad teams use cartillery imho.
It makes no sense at all, and all it's doing is stealing your team a ticket.
I wonder how many times we would've actually won a game that we lost 0-1 or 0-2 - maybe because our commander got one or two arty/carty kills too much...
Re: WTF...new rule: "cartillery is not allowed" ...urgh
That can be looked at both ways. I've kept the other CO's arty down for most of a mapside before -- I wonder how many tickets I saved by not having my team blasted by arty every 30 seconds??
And I do drop vehicles when requested, but the requests aren't very often. If we're not actively taking out their assets I'll drop a car on them.
But I do have a question/observation. I noticed on a map like Karkand 32 vs 64, the arty appears different from above. K32 arty have a tripod look to them, while on the 64 their more square. I can take out Karkand64 arty with no problem, but have a heck of a time getting a vehicle to balance on their long enough on the 32's. Anyone else notice this?
