Its against the ROE set by EA to play on "Knife and pistol" servers as long they are ranked.
Playing on "Knife and pistol" servers can get your scores reset to zero, so if you have put in 500 hours of gameply in your account, well then poor poor you. Wasted.

And don't insult ppl just because they say their opinion. Unmature and well, makes you look like. Whatever you wanna be in the eyes of others.

look im not insulting them, im just saying, if they have a major problem with it why do they join the servers??.

And as for having your scores set to zero, EA are going to do this to 200 people, no dint think so, its another thing EA cant control, when we bought the game, we payed for the copyright and the acts against it, EA became powerless, the only way EA can do anything about it, is if there was a major breach and the game was manipulated, cheats, people using the same cd key, breaks copyright laws, but using a pistol and a knife in a server for one or a couple of rounds, EA could get sued for breach of the consumer Act, EA dont take chances like that, so put your tooty rule book away that says stat padding! teamkilling! or the knife pistol only Map is a Bannable offence to EA because its pure bullcrap.

we didnt buy copyright, we payed for the copyright, we dont own it thats just stupid thats a childs point of view, we payed DICE, that means we can sell the game as we like because we have payed for it. Not making copys of it, its to sell the Real thing.

Ive just explained why there not bannable offenses "illegal" is the wrong term because thats the LAW rules, i havent scr3wed anything because EA wont no cant do anything because it puts the bigger picture at risk.

First of all, think about the game DEVELOPERS, that actually MAKE these CHILDISH and STUPID games like BF series... NONE of them is most likely under the age of 30. so... umm... w0t?

And, if you run a server dedicated to a game, to obtain the server, you MUST of have read the RULES concerning the server keeping. You MUST have also ACCEPTED these rules. Hence, there's no room for you to make a claim, that you don't understand the laws or rules.

You're 16, you obviously can read (understanding of what you have read, is different thing tho) so you most likely also know the rules. Atleast you're supposed to, if not, ask some senior (old-school) server admin to make them clear for you.

i wont quote all that takes to much space up, i know that no matter how you run a server if it isnt breaking the Copyrighted restrictions EA/DICE can do nothing, if you want we'll go in depth here.

Mod makers, Everyone of them could be sued, there accounts stripped of everything they have done. but that wont happen for two reasons, they are breaking the copyright law in the mildist form, now if the mod team say sells there mod they will be sued in a flicker of an eye. the second theres so many mod teams out there if EA banned them all there game would go down about 50%. so EA wont do anything to jeopardies those sales its to much of a loss.

this is where why they WONT do anything to servers that are breaking un-punishable rules, if you break those rules EA frowns upon you they will take no action because they will jeopardies there industry.

These rules are broken every second of everyday thats a whole lot of punishing, EA know they are powerless untill a major rule is broken.

I understand everything about these laws, if the server provider revokes your server they will be sued and it will happen so they wont do anything at all.

you people are fighting a lost cause you wont win no matter how hard you try.

Difference is, that you are running RANKED server, that records and uploads player scores. Moda makers cannot do that, since they do not have, nor they will have ranked server files for their mods.

we arnt talking about ranked servers for mods they are using copyrighted material in there mods, which is punishable.

and Ranked or unranked your not breaking copyright laws by making a Pistol knife only server, so EA wont do anything, people threaten i'll exploit you to get you banned, its a load of crap, EA dont go that far to risk there necks. unless a copyright breach is made, in which they can make a bit of Money off of the perpetrator.
