announcement of expansion pack named: bf1942 - back to past :)

i'm not counting for mods because even after year and something there is no bf2 mod with ww2 theme.

Okay . . . so does anyone have anything remotely official that they can actually show me that proves the game is coming out in October?

They originally said fall and then I heard (from what I thought was an official source) that it wasn't coming out until early next year . . . and now all of a sudden it is back to fall.

I really would like to see something official.

And yes, I love BF2. Even with all of the crap that happens it is still so much fun to play. I can't wait for BF2142.

Woohoo another rushed battlefield game.

BF2142 isn't rushed out. They started working on BF2142 when they started on BF2.

I'll be playing buggy BF2 until QuakeWars comes out. If that proves better than BF2 I'll switch.

Quakewars doesnt' support 64 player maps.

And have pre-ordered BF2142...

After the bs they've put us through with BF2, I'll be sure to give my money to iD for QuakeWars.

Theres to many problems with BF2, using the same engine I can only see increasing them. Be prepared for 1.4 to be the last patch. Hence why they are having an open beta, to test it first, release it, then wash their hands clean.

Could not gve a frak in all honesty, To me 2142 will be nothing more than a
Bf2 mod .Roll on Crysis and Quake wars .

Anyhow , i think of it this way .

I play for fun first of all and Badges , Medals and Ribbons second . If i have to start all over again on nothing more than a MOD then "No Can DO "

The latest Battlefield newsletter is up, offering a new set of screenshots from Battlefield 2142 along with a release month for the game: October. According to the newsletter, there will be information soon about a Battlefield 2 Veterans Program where EA will be "rewarding our loyal BF2 community by giving them exclusive benefits for enlisting with Battlefield 2142".

If you thinking I am getting this game think again after all the s*it we have all been through with EA how can you buy yet another from the same makers? Sorry I will never buy this game. Amen

Other thing is, don't look at BF2142 as another new game. Look at it as a MOD of bf2. It use the same engine= same problems.

Exactly... a "modified" engine... it's still going to be limited by that.

I really dont care when its going to come out, I'm still going to buy it. EA promised it would not have the problems of BF2, and I want to find out if they live up to there promises. If not, I'm never buying an EA game again.

HAHA Look at the 1.3 patch. A patch that suppose to fix bf2 and is worse than the bf2 in the cd. :laugh:

When dice canada release the first patch for BF2142 that game will die. Just like Bf2 with 1.3. They even had to make a public beta. And I garante you 1.4 will bring problems. The beta will not be the same as the release one. They always make a last minute change that will ruin the patch.
