Sound problems Nforce onboard

I wonder if some of the technical bods may be able to help me with a small problem

I have an A8n sli board and I am using the onboard sound (Nforce 4, 7.1 surround) with 5.1 speakers attached, but BF2 only plays through 2 speakers.

I have the correct set up in Nvmixer (or whatever its called) and the few other games I have bothered to load ( new pc see) all play through the correct speakers.

Is there a way to make bf2 play through 5.1 or am i stuck with 2channel for bf2.

I have an Audigy 2 but the sound through that is worse (sounds tinny no matter what settings I use) than the onboard for all other applications (music, dvd etc)

well, get an xfi card. it will definitely work. and sounds fantastic too.

I have a X-fi extreme music on order. Just wanted to play with 5.1 till it arrives :cry:

I installed my Audigy last night, on software rendering i still only get 2 channels, on hardware I get 5.1 but no gun sounds at all?? I can hear the shell casings hitting the floor and the bullets hitting objects just no firing sound??

ok try this mate where you pluged in your speaker wires make sure you got them in the right place ie... black in black white in white, that should do it if not get i hammer and have fun'
