Movement Stuck - HELP!

Hi,

I searched through the forums and it seems that other people have my problem but the issue was never resolved.

So basically my problem is the same as those who started the above thread. Basically everything will be fine until my movement keys become stuck. Like I'll be moving to the left and then I'll let go of the button and my character will still keep on strafing the left. When I press it to go forward sometimes it'll have a bit of a time lag maybe a few seconds before it registers. This doesn't happen to me in a bunch of other FPS like halflife 2 and stuff.

Anyone know what to do?

I don't have the solution - sorry. But I do have the same problem, and have been trying to get rid of it since last year. I've posted my own details on this thread:

For me, it only happens in single player, and seems to happen most when there's action in the game. It usually last for just a couple of seconds (although I've had a case of a tank that drove continously until I rammed into buildings enough to destroy the tank), and occurs pretty often in the game - sometimes every time I move. Sometimes the mouse stills works and I can change direction, sometimes I can't change direction. As you can see on the other thread, I've tried a lot of ideas, but the problem always returns. If it doesn't, making myself the CO in single player will force it. So, I think it has something to do with the CPU getting slow?

If I avoid single player, the game works fine, except for the usual lock-ups, disconnects from servers, etc.

Could you post your hardware, so I can compare?

is your xfire on? or some other apps? i had this problem before with my 'x' key. turns out when i press scroll lock and x for chat and when i exit, it continues with my x and i end up turning continuously.

ive played for 22 hours then this started happening...
ive tried the following with no luck
defragged
tried new keyboard
changed soundsettings
reinstalled 2x
disabled ingame voice and turned off vent

nothing helps css is fine...help please someone!!!

I've been having lots of probs since patch 1.3 mainly being CTD and lagging. Done all the reinstalls etc and the other night hit a server that gave me the controls issue. My soldier just kept moving to the right. When I layed prone it stopped, and as soon as i stood up off he went again.

Switched to another server and it hasn't happened again since. Could the problem be server based and not Pc based?

Does the problem happen on all servers that you play?
