Need Help

Hey guys
I have the Deluxe Edt. of Bf2 and i have dl'd and installed the most recent patch, but when i get into the internet section of the game and refresh the list and pick a server, it pauses for a couple seconds and refreshes and tells me my connection to the server has been lost?
What can i do to fix it?
i have allowed the ports on my windows firewall and i dont think that my ISP (SBC Yahoo) has a firewall, and ive shut down both of those things and tried to connect but nothign is working.

are you clicking on Start BF2 or clicking on Play Online Now! button, the play online is known to cause problems. and your sure you dont have a router? you are plugged in directly to the sbc dsl modem..?

If you have a router then there really is no need for a firewall as well. The worst firewalls are Zone Alarm, Black Ice and anything Norton.

yes, i have been clicking on Play online Now!, so ill try just going through the BF2 icon or whatever.
And yes i am not using a router,i am hooked straight up to the modem, but i will be hooking mine up as soon as my other comp is back in service.

alright, well i clicked on start BF2 and went into the online mode via that way, and still no luck.
Still says Your connection to the server has been lost when i try to join a game.

hmm maybe punkbuster needs to be manually updated

yeah i downloaded that and got an update for the Bf2 and all that other jazz.
Still a no go.
What else can i do?
