except you have no idea what kind of words people have added to the filter until you get kicked for it. then it is just a plain hassle to join back to the server after waiting for the requisite one minute.

in real life i swear so much i can make R. Lee Ermey look like an altar boy by comparison.(not proud of it. its a habit.) but in bf2 i really dont understand why u would need to TYPE vulgarities like that.(other than the occasional hell or damn.)

Lmao the best one was when I was Commander and the enemy commander kept blowing all the planes, choppers, troops on the carrier with arty. So I said to my team ''Need someone to blow up the enemy Commanders assets'' kicked for ''***'' so stupid, so now I have to resort to saying ''Blow up the Commanders toys''

I'm ALWAYS getting kicked for saying blow up the command ASSets as a commander. So I just type AS.Sets now.

Dude, this language filtering BS pisses me off so extremely I come close to breaking my wrist on my desk chair sometimes.

I suggest you give up playing BF2 and try something else.

Well although I do swear cassually while playing its ussally over VoIP anyway. 'example'-(I'll meet you at the plaza....agh damn abrahams got me I'll just spawn on ya" that said its rather annoying for the word filter to pick up things like the FU in funny and such and rejoining afterwards is a hassle, much worse when your high on the leader boards and you want to take home that sliver, gold, bronze et cetra.

Our professor is also teaching us how to behave in the real world so when we do get a career. He is ex-military and he knows how much they curse and dosn't think that makes persons image look professional. The worst we can say around him is hell, damn, and stupid.

This game should take a leaf out of Americas Armys book: local filtering

Parental guidance options tab where you can chose whether you want language blocked locally and perhaps add blood that can be turned off locally.

Etc etc. As far as I'm concerned they're just words, movements of the tongue and vocal vibrations. I think the offensiveness of such words is all down to context. I hate to see people say stuff like "feck you n00b", but if people are genuinely offended by "oh bloody 'ell" or "ffs, nice shot" then such people seriously need to get out in the world and develop skin.

How about we just ban people with =GER= in their names? I'm not being ethnocentric or anything, but you really do have to be a bit of an idiot to put sodding =GER= in your name. It's like me writing \__--====SCOUSE====--__/ or something in mine.

That's because people don't know how to set the filter up. Same thing with ASSets.
