You should Use Fraps to Record your footage you want and Windows Movie maker to start off once you get that down upgrade to Sony Vegas and go from there GOOD LUCK

You should try both and make your own choice! Both have their advantages and disadvantages:
          • FRAPS: Easy to use, comfortable and you get your footage very quick which makes it easier to re-record parts you're not satisfied with.

On the other hand FRAPS is really hardware consuming and the overall quality is average to good when you're recording with high details.

          • BattleLauncher: Is not as easy to use as FRAPS but not complicated either. The quality of your footage will be very good, even without high-end hardware, but in return it will take ages to get your footage due to long rendering times.

You're production will be slow, quick re-recording of short parts of your BattleRecorder (BR) files is not possible - you have to render the whole BR file again. Furthermore you need to record your camera movements first which makes you less flexible.

I prefer FRAPS, though I suffer quality with it. :)

          cheers
