Anyone else have issue with a 7800 gt-256?

Hey everyone,

Is anyone else having an issue with the 7800 gt, I seem to have to use Riva Tuner to turn down the clock speed on my video card to get it to play BF2 right. My orignail speed was 470/1100 and I have to turn it down to 370/950.

Here are my system specs:
Amd Athlon 64 3700 Barton 2211+ (not overclocked)
NVidia 7800 GT 256DDR II Video card
2 gb 3700 DDR ram
Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard
550 watt asus power supply
2 x 82 gb Sata drives
Creative Soundblaster Audigy LS
Logitec 5.1 surround sound speakers
Saitek ST290Pro Joystick
Logitec G5 mouse
Microsoft keyboard
Sony DVD burner with lightscribe
Sony CD Rom

Any ideas?

Best thing to do is if you suspect it's a hardware issue causing the problem is to search for it on google.com. Also search the manufacturers forums. Virtually all companies that sell computer/electronics based equipment (video/audio/console games/pc games/computer hardware, etc.) have forums. These places can be goldmines of infomation.
I've found solutions to problems with hardware compatibility, driver incompatibility, etc this way.

Maybe your machine is a bit over-heated
