What the hell...

I can't even play a damn ROUND without my ping constantly #%&ing spiking above 200... not ONE...

It isn't my internet connection, not my modem, my router, not my ISP, not my computer, it's these shitty things EA calls "patches"... they are RUINING stability! FFS I am getting tired of all the B.S.! Just roll back to 1.12 and then add in all your little "features" from there... the performance "tweaks" have done NOTHING but fuck up mine, and almost everyone elses connection, causing everyone to have weird ping spikes, and uber lag, even if they have 10mbits down 500kb up.

I NEVER see servers below 40 ping anymore.. even the ones that DO say 40, you get in, and it's 40, but feels like 400.. because of spikes... and BF2 is to blame. I don't care what anyone says.. but this NEVER happened before 1.3.

That is only the connection part of it.. luckly they fixed CTD's in 1.4, but what about all these connection issues???

I am not talking about having "Problems with your connection" messages, I am talking about straight up LAG that you have ALWAYS had a really good connection on ( <60 ), and random ping spikes every 10 seconds, making any type of air vehicle, near impossible to operate.

EA/DICE... stop adding fucking features to the game and fix the real problems.

I always have lag, my average fps is 12-16, but the problem is my sh*tty computer

of course the patches havent helped me any

No, I have 2 different computers, at two different houses, with two different ISP's.

Same **** happens at both houses. It also happens to alot of the people I play with.

For example.. when I get ping spikes, i'll hear whoever else i'm playing with, complain about the same thing at the same time.

I have had rounds where EVERYONE is at 200+ ping... and it is a US server with 95% US residents...

Actually, its probably your poor selection in servers. Try finding closer servers, possibly maintained by better companies.

No it's not..

I am good at finding servers, and I NEVER enter a server that has >90 ping.

I am in FL, and I go to Insomnia365 servers, TOC dedicated wake (where I used to get <20 ping even though it's based in dallas) and alot of other US servers. I always go to Texas or NY based servers, or some other state on the east coast or central.

I guess Asian servers are maintained better than the ones you are using in the US.

Each patch brings more lag and choppiness, thats why some people with lower end computers can't even play.

Yeah but the thing is, I am able to handle ALL HIGH with AA 4X, BEFORE 1.2.

Now I can handle all high w/ out AA, but I run medium to get better FPS (70-100 and ~30-40 while recording)

These patches decrease all performance and stability every time there is a performance "tweak".

The majority of your lag would come from server location/quality. BF2 Patches do mess it up, but I don't think that is the problem in your case.

Ive never seen a game where patches lower the netcode and game performance and introduce more bugs (except microsoft stuff)... It's EA.

Hopefully they learned their lesson in 2142.

yea i hear him i used to never lag and had pings around 20 and now when i go into those same servers its all totally opisite now its about 90 in the same servers just a couple weeks later
