FRAPS videos stopping at 3.90 gb???

Every time I try to capture a whole round, it records up to 3.90GB and then just stops . I don't stop it, it just doesn't record after 3.90GB.. I have about 4 files like that.

Come to think of it, almost ALL of my longer FRAPS videos, most of them stop without me doing anything..

All of the 3.90 gb are ~8:30-8:50.... why the **** do they stop recording????

Its not the problem with fraps, its with windows.. there is a 4 gig limitation to any file in windows (i believe)

For those recording long stretches at time at once without stopping , you need to be aware that there are limitations within format. You can only record for so long before you exceed the limitation. Once the file reaches a 4 gig size, the recording will automatically stop (it will not restart).

      correct me if im wrong..

The FAT32 file system does indeed have a limit of 4gigs per single file. Doesnt FRAPs have an option to split files up once they get large enough?

Your other option is to use NTFS instead of FAT32. Win XP can convert a drive from FAT32 to NTFS.

Uhhh.... FAT32? Isn't that like... windows 98 or something?

All I know is that I have NTFS... and there is no way in hell there is a 4GB limitation... cause I have files >10GB... it's just these FRAPS recordings stop at 3.90 for some reason.

In battlelauncher, I can't render files larger than about 4GB, its pretty annoying, I'm also sure I have NTFS.

Right click on the drive you are recording to, and there it says whether it is fat or ntfs.
