I think as a consumer who spent $50-60 dollars for this game should be entiteled to a Voucher that allows me to get BF2142 at blackmarket prices because of what I have had to put up with.

From what I understand BF2142 fixes this, fixes that, but oh no were just gonna screw BF2 and implement jack crap. I guess this will never happen as EA, the cash cow hogs they are would never reward their BF2 fanbase for putting up with their crap.

I actually hope that the reward people recieve is a medal which can then be used as proof see how many clueless idiots are out their who shelled their money out for another craptastic product.

If it is going to be hours or points its gonna suck because I have made over 3 BF2 accounts due to clan Name changing and clan mergers

You mean 'Desparate' like how mid-east oil companies need to give ppl incentives to buy petrol. It's a business dude. The more the merrier.

Oh, and I wouldn't expect anything major from a veterans program. Be a good suprise if it's something decent, but think small ppl.. avoid dissappointment..

If I can't beta test, I can live with it. I really don't care whether I get to or not, so long as the information keeps coming about BF2142. Long Live the BF Franchise!!!!

Of course it's not gonna be. ITS A "SPECIAL PRICE JUST FOR YOU"-MARKETING MOVE! The more people they can get to go "hmm. somethign special? for me?!? cool maybe I'll try it out." the more money they make.

My guess it's something like pre-reg your existing nick, or perhaps a freebie unlock (doubtful) or something really really insignificant, because give too much to existing customers and the new ones gonna cry unfair advantage.

well i aint put in the greatest ammount of hours but im a true die hard fighter, im the kind that does it for the thrill and not for points for ranks, i'd rather have the thrill of a dog fight and get shot down than base rape like i know 70% of BF2 do. you find very little ammount of people that do it for the thrill of the kill.

This is why im a Patriot

I am thinking they will give a couple bonus unlocks to vet bf2 players. With 40 unlocks for 4 classes, it may be tough for anyone except the most time consumed gamer to unlock them all.

I am thinking they are going to use the unlocks as a way of making soldiers more diversified, a few extra unlocks would reward vet players without a serious balance issue.

I am guessing that you will have to use your old name though, only easy way I can think of them doing it...

I'm hoping it will be some transfer of rank/status. A special tag, a special series of ranks, something along the lines of my outlandish "Battlefield Cryogenics Program" where you freeze your soldier and wake him up in 160 years.

Of course this sounds outrageous but it sounds more feasable than EA (Mother of all cash-cow gaming companies) offering retail discounts.

Personally I think its MUCH more likely that it is something in-game than it is some money savings.

Perhaps EA is realizing 2142 wasn't the path to go down as a large amount of players went battlefeild for it's semi realizm and arn't interested in quake style games and are lookin at cod2 more and more now

I could obviously go on about the numerous problems that EA have failed quite spectacularly to deal with, and the imaginary problems they have dealt with.

EA/Dice/Whoever takes the money and their team have real problems with their support for the people that bought this game. I joined this site to get answers to the issues I was having with this game, couldn't get a moment of clarity from EA, think about how much that sucks.

It's just EA doing damage control they now realize they have made mistakes and they are trying to sell you on their new game basic marketing.

I was more hoping for something more substancial.. like a cheque for $1,000,000 maybe? At least something in the 6 figure range.

Meanwhile, still waiting for 1.4.. new maps are great, but not if it's freakin broke! You'd *think* that was the priority..
