    killed versus critically wounded

I've played this game for hundreds of hours but I keep coming up with dumb stuff that everyone else knows the answer to.

Latest question: what is the diff between killed and crit wounded? At first I thought it was that killed people couldn't be revived, but I've been killed and been revived. The only difference I can see is that if I get killed and I don't get revived I get two death points added to my score instead of one.

Which leads to my next question: how does the game decide if youre dead or crit wounded? I know Eryx/sraw makes you dead, but sometimes in game I just get dead over and over from just about anything, including spraining my ankle running down hill.

    Anybody know?

killed means you cant revived by a medic, wonded means a medic can come along and heal you, usually you die after, getting bombed, by a jet, arty or tank shell and like you seen a SRAW, and critically wonded usually happens after gettting killed by a normal gun, lets say AK 101 and those sorts. and no both count as only 1 death

i've seen the message "you've been killed" yet i've been revived. it seems to depend on whether or not your body disappears immediately or not.

I get that sometimes too, either I am a medic and try to revive people with no sign on their head and still end up reviving. And when I'm dead as in killed, I sometimes get revived... I never found the true answer to this, i just let it be.

          Re: killed versus critically wounded

Pavan, I also thought that one death is one death, but last night in one round I was in contention for the gold and checking my score more than usual. I noticed that when I was "killed" the game counted the death on my score right away, not like when I was crit wounded.

One time I was "killed" and while I was waiting to respawn I checked my score and saw the death registered. No problem. But then when I respawned and got a couple kills I checked again. My death count seemed too high. So the next time I was "killed," I watched the scoreboard while my revive time counted down and I saw a second death put on my score.

My team was getting pounded BTW, game after game. Which would make sense if everyone that got "killed" cost us two tickets.

I wanted to check it again but you can never tell when you're going to be killed versus crit wounded, and I was more interested in going for the gold.

          Anyone else notice this?

I have noticed the two death thing before too. I thought maybe I just forgot one somehow.

              Re: killed versus critically wounded

When your hit by a missle artillry or any other explosive killing dmg (tank c4 ect) its killed you instantly get a death on your score.
Wounded is any other way and you have 15 seconds to be revived and not get a death.

I don't think there is a "real" difference between the two, both can be revived.

Once I was a wondering sniper in a hill in karkand alone, and suddenly the artillery strikes! I died and see my body fly higher than the buildings and then I fall... the 3rd person view plus 15 second counter starts, I see a friendly vehicle and the driver gets out and revives me, I was suprised... did you see how high I flown, and yes there is always hope that there are medic drivers. True story
