Anyone else getting <3 from the stock weapons?

I've been mostly an assault player, and love infantry maps.... Lately I've been trying to get my time up on other classes, got SpecOps over 100hrs so I could get Exp badge, etc...

Been playing some medic as of late, and while I have every unlock, and the G36E is pwnage, I've been missing the full-auto of the AK.

That, combined with a couple upcoming TWL matches had me using the good 'ol stock medic AK. I've found myself using it more and loving that gun. Great to have unlocks, but wasting 1/2 a squad and their unlocks with an AK is all the more satisfying :)

While I ussally play medic these days and use the G36E in all its pwn'in glory I still play other kits with those unlocks and when I'm haveing trouble I'll revert to another unlock or the stock weapon. It makes it fresh to see and use something new and subconsious refreshes my mind so I generally start playing with better tactics rather than running into the grinder then staring at the "tab" screen and wondering why I'm sucking.

I started up a second account recently to mess around with and hence having no unlocks, had access to only default weapons. I was quite suprised by some of them. The AK-101 is still one of the best weapons in the game, IMO. I was really happy with the M249. I've always liked support, but never used it before because everything except the RPK74 was krap. I'm still sad they nerfed the noob tube, much harder to get people hiding behind cover now with the smaller splash area.

I love the MEC's assault AK-47. I can serioussly own with that thing. I would trade the G3 for the AK-47 (even though I like the G3 a extremely amount)... as a unlock.

i think they need a medic (or assault) upgrade,and it would be an AK...not happening tho sadly...or maybe in a mod...lol

imo most of the standard wepons are the best, the RPK-74 is best support, the AK-47AS i think, well MEC spec ops one, and even dwon the the pp-19 are all very good guns even though they are tier 1. imo the unlocks are what they are supposed to be just alternatives

I actually like using all the stock weapons. Since I've been racking up hours for support Ive been using the M249 alot. Love the High ROF and decent accuracy. Same with the M16+M203.

I vary from the weapon use so i can get use to all of them, whatever the situation is. For example me running out of ammo and shooting the last guy, picking up his kit and knowing how to use his gun

I have been using the AK101 for sometime now in tourny play (our armies stock assault rifle) and its great, but any chance I get I grab an M16. Its the G36E of stock guns.

Its like a laser up close on burst and it has decent accuracy at range in single shot mode. Not to mention its somewhat quieter and hard to place where the shots are coming from at times.

i agree with the unlock....or it could even be on a mod...which is probably the only place where u'll get it...it could be called the AK 74(not the spec ops wep)
