    Re: Samsung lcd probs

I have the same monitor (940bf) running the same res' but never had a problem running bf2.
However i did once on another monitor have a similar graphics problem which i tracked down to a failing graphics card.

Are you overclocking? Check your graphics card temperture, also.

i have response time of 2ms advertised,60 hz refresh.im not OC'ing but the vid card came from bfg oced a bit.How would I check the temp accurately? The temp in my case near the drives never goes above 33 C is that good?

33C is very good--that means your GPU electronics are colder than you are. To make sure, download ati tool (yes, I know you have an nVidia card) v.24 and verify that your GPU temps aren't crazy high (I doubt it, if your case temps are 33C). Don't worry about "factory" overclocks. The components are rated to perform at the speed indicated.

My bad. I really thought ATI tool would talk to the temp sensor on your card, even though you can't use ATI tool to alter your GPU settings. The fuzzy box stresses your video card, so it might be worthwhile to let the fuzzy box run in front of you, while your temp program monitors GPU temp in the background. It should generate a history log, telling you how hot your PC gets under load.

Rivatuner will record temps, which you ought to do while playing BF2. Or you could just install the latest nvidia drivers, which would probably be the best choice anyway. The newest 91.XX drivers have a built-in temp logger.

To me this looks like either overheating or your card died and you need to RMA it, But either way, update your drivers and check your temps while playing. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_91.31.html
