You don't. That's why you were supposed to make a backup of your v1.3 BF2 directory before installing it.

The 'No Vehicle', as implemented in 1.40 BETA 2, option still needs to have some transport vehicles because imagine trying to get off the carrier on maps like Gulf of Oman, Wake Island and Dalian Plant when you have smacktards leave with only 1 person in a boat.

No one will play maps other than Karkand, Mastuur and Sharqi with no transports. All the other maps the flags are too far apart.

'Vehicle-lite' option:

• Replace Tanks/APC spawns with Heavy Jeeps
• Replace AA vehicles with Light Jeeps
• Remove Jets
• Replace Littlebirds and Attack Helicopters with Transport Helicopters

OR

'Vehicle-Neutered' option:
Same as above, except all transport vehicles have their guns removed.

Some great ideas here.

Or they could just put a few normal civilian cars for transport like they did in Midnight Sun.

Too many stupid 9/11 comments probably made them take it out, plus that recent dragnet by the pentagon experts calling Battlefield 2 a terrorist training video game.

I don’t think removing the plane will stop people from referencing it though; there are still parts of a plane on top (a wing) and part of the fuselage on the ground. Now it just looks more like the pentagon building, there’s a hole and no plane!? OMG conspiracy theory! It was a cruse missile!

So much for remaining politically correct and all that jazz.

Bunnyhoping terrorists? Dude, the weopons where lot more accurate and realistic in SOF2 in 2002, dont worry this isnt a simulator for sure!

Current bugs. Some of you have mentioned this. I read somewhere that they have been all sorted out including the connection issues and cash to desk top, and the classic wall glitch. If I find where I read the information from I will post a link up

Dank save your fingers. Go somewhere else. I am looking forward to the infantry map. Great news not getting t&ated by a apc, tanks and choppers including jets. Since modern warfare is infantry it is a great step forward. Only one problem I did notice when testing the first beta was the amount of snipers. Great news if you need your knife badge and pistol badge. as for your next comment ''turkey shoot' by surrounding spawns'. So what about Karkand spawn killing and other maps as well.

Just out of interest any idea how big the new patch will be?

Have they changed anything else on the old maps or do these remain the same?

Anyway, I might download it. I did enjoy the first beta but, thinking why should I?

- Return Medic pack and Revive values to Default BF2
