We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
The way BF2 log stats is weird... when it says DEATHS, it doesn't mean how many times you were killed by a certain weapon. It means how many times you were holding that weapon when you died. So if you're hold a knife and someone kills you, you get a knife DEATH. Even if they killed you with a gun.
I would like to see claymores that where like 1.03 but with FF off.
i had more fun with claymores in the good old days :p
run to a Flag set up claymores then start to panic just in case a team m8 runs round the corner, cap the flag throw nades at the claymores then look for ammo :)
and i hate seeing snipers that dont ever snipe u know what im saying
Umm, just because you are too stupid to see and out manouver the claymore, we are being noobish?
About 90 % of my claymore kills have come from placing them on flags.
And people call using a mine for area denial cheap?!
KBK
i try to avoid placing claymores on CP. thats the cheapest way to use a claymore. other than that, its free game.
if anyone is calling anyone a noob for using a claymore, its exactly the way you just described that is noobish. i hope you land on a server that has FF on the mines. see how many TK's you rack up that way.
as for my stats...
kills: 221
deaths: 38
time: 1.4 hours
K/D Rat: 5.82
Hahahaha, I only play on ranked servers, so mines kill friendlies.
However mines are actually defensive weapons. They allow you to deny land to the enemy by either killing them when they enter it, or by making them scared to go there.
What better way to protect a "back" flag like the TV station Sharki or Hotel in Karkand when you are needed to help attack other flags?
Using a mine to stop the enemy taking a flag isn't cheap, bunnyhopping into a firefight, throwing what equates to a movement triggered grenade down, and then either bunny hopping away or getting shot but still getting the kill, now THAT's cheap.
I will agree I pickupa couple of TK's with the mines, but those are from idiots who insist on walking over the big red skull and crossbones, or who are going to places they don't need to go.
What reason does a US soldier have in going to the flag at Hotel after it's been captured? Especially if there are big assed warning signs on the steps/ladders
KBK
One thing that;s useful with these "mine detectors" is it gives advanced warning that the flag is being attacked. You've go those few precious seconds to get someone/something over there to help protect it before the flag changes.
The problem with this whole "statistic" is that the deaths you have earned by claymores do not represent how many times you have actually tripped over a claymore mine. All it counts is the number of times you have died while HOLDING the claymore in your hands.
Thank you for that :)
I was knowing something must be wrong with that.
I got over 230 death by shockpaddles and this can't be true.

im not sure that ive died 65 times with a claymore in my hands

Well, that's the way the weapon stats are counted.
Sniper stats for example, do not show how many times you have been killed by a sniper rifle. Same thing counts for other rifles.
Why should this be different with claymores, mines, and C4?
Maybe I'm wrong, who knows...

i thought it might be counted differently from weapon stats, but now this thread could be kinda pointless if it was down to being killed with a claymore out :/
