Thoughts on Boosterpacks vs mods

Yes, money makes the world go around. But we just fall into the pit every time.Don't we fellow gamers.. and why? Is it becasue the EA maps are so good? Well no of course not. It's because we have a built in self image to uphold. STATS STATS STATS..... whether you like them or not stats are what keeps people coming back and making DICE the money.

Now of course when creating a booster pack,they will throw in a vehicle or 2 or maybe even a new weapon and a new badge but is that really the reason we keep returning and pay hard earned money for these small additions? No of course not. We could play better normal mod maps for free, vaster atmospher, larger scale etc... But many of us can not bring our selves to do this because we gain nothing from playing on unranked servers, do we? On ranked servers we gain , prestige, recognition, a feeling of self worth and the afterthought that we did not wast our day away. And why because we are bettering our online image.

Why do I understand this, because I too fall helpless to the advertising and developing genious of the EA/DICE team and in the end play only ranked servers and of course I buy the booster packs..............

I'm such a weeny.... I will go cry now...and play again later LOL:)

well dont cry to loud plz, i got aheadache
and theres more reasons than that for a booster pack to come out...
its another experiance while you wait for more BF2 Patches, theres maybe 2-4 maps, a few new vehicles and maybe a jet
but i would rather a booster pack to come out while i wait for 1.4 Patch than keep playing the same map on Bf2 over and over again....wouldent you?

Well actually it was more about experiencing a new army, 6 new maps, new vehicles, etc.

As soon as the mod I want to play comes out, I doubt I'll play on another ranked server ever.

Guess I made my rank about as high as I am going to go, I don't have so much time to put into playing so I will in the future switch over to the mods myself I do believe:p .

However when Forgotten Hope comes out..................... God I can't wait.
