          Captured CP 353
          Capture Assist 406
          Defended CP 130

          Time played: 85 hours. Rank: Gunnery Sgt.

          I tend to play 50-50. I do capture flags when they are important to our team, but if I know it'll just be captured back in 2 mins because noone else is trying, I tend to go into human-artillery-strike-mode.

          Mind you, I'm not a bad player just because I don't have triple digit hours played, I just don't play that much. Still end up with a lot of silver medals tho (somehow the commander always beats me to 1 point -_- )

            I cap flags :)

            what realy does my head in is when im commanding and NO ONE seems to want to cap a flag.
            ive been on a full 64player karkand commanding, played lay down commander till 100tickets went by and no ones capping, so i then said well ill show u how easy it is ( i was support ),i get to the Hotel on my own then once there went to command screen dropped supplys for tank,set uav etc. then capped the Flag and died two kills later, it was capped straight back.
            that was the only flag cap of the round lol.......:laugh:

                      Always seeing threads/arguments about how important someone's KDR is or their accuracy etc etc... Here's a new one --- FPH ---

                      How about a new ratio for
                      FLAG POINTS (Caps+Cap Assists+Defend points) / HOURS PLAYED

                      Granted, this doesnt work for players who are primarily pilots etc, but this FPH (flag points per hour) ratio would be a good indicator of someones play style and high FPH = the guys I want to squad up with.

                        Re: flag shy!

                        I've been in several games where too many of the opposing team were in the sky (2 jets, a heli, and lord knows how many sitting at the airfield waiting) and the resulting imbalance on the ground led to our team winning. Sure, our K/D ratio was through the floor, and the flyboys racked up serious kill points, but they still LOST.

                        I think the difference is between those who play for the team, and those who play for themselves. You can play for your own points, badges, etc., or you can play for the team, join a squad, cap flags, DEFEND them. It's almost like this:

                        No teamwork --> doesn't cap
                        Some teawork --> solo caps
                        Better teamwork --> squad caps
                        Great teamwork --> defends flags

                        I would also like to squad up with folks who like to play as a team, and attack/defend flags together. I'm always SgtSteve online, look for me!

                          I can't believe how few flag points some people seem to have... But then again, I know that a heavy combat-skew is normal, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

                          I have 2419 caps and 2137 assists, with 988 defends, from my 186 hours and my First Sergeant rank.

                            Mostly being a sniper I'll only cap one if I know its empty, dont stand a chance otherwise....

                              I've noticed this too. it's really starting to piss me off when say our team has no flags, yet a whole squadworth of people is on the ground, waiting for a freaking chopper or sniping or some crap. I've also noticed it when I'm trying to cap a flag, and I'm under fire and call for help, allies are nearby but nobody comes to help. There was one indcident on Kubra Dam where I was capping the Brigde Base. I killed about 3 guys as they spawned (I was anti tank) and was constantly calling for help. Ablout 4 allies were within sprinting distance, bur proceeded to take the newly-spawned tank and run off with it, or go hunting for headshots with the sniper rifle. That got me really ticked off. I finally capped the base, and was defending it, but then nobody else helped with defending so we lost it. What's up with all these noobs, yes noobs, not simply assisting to get a flag, and getting a few points in the process? It's a team game, so play for the team.

                                Re: flag shy!

                                Having even a single buddy with you makes a flag cap soooo much faster... It's painfully slow when you're trying to flip it on your own.

                                I can understand people grabbing the newly spawned tank at a flag rather than running straight into the cap radius on foot, but surely you would think that they'd then drive that tank into the cap radius to help you flip the CP and to protect you as you did it? After all, you're unlikely to get killed while you're capping a flag in a tank!
