Re: flag shy!
I agree unreservedly. BF2 seems to be more deathmatch than conquest. A lot of people play for kills and just don't bother. Some people will maek half-hearted attempts but disappear when the going gets rough. I find it a common occurrence to spawn at a flag, see it heavily under attack and watch as everyone spawns at other flag points, not even trying to defend it in case it affects their precious stats.Originally posted by drag bagiv noticed this more & more players not WANTING to get the flags. wtf is going on, now i can sympathize with nooobs wanting to get a few kills but its turning in to an epidemic:hmm: so lets do a poll:nod: -

Re: flag shy!
I had a round a few days ago on wake, where the WHOLE of my team, except for me and two others, went "on strike" and hid in the carrier because the pla were owning us. Eventualy I had to capture the airfield on my own, just to make them start playing, and even then some stayed behind. I wish there was a "whole team kick" option

I like capping flags especially if you're the first one there. +2, +2. And then anyone that wants to try and take you off the flag is another +2. And once it's capped, you can manage +2 for killing the stragglers, and +1 for defending (although I usually kill them too early for that). Even still, when you are getting the neutralize/capture assists, it's easy points, and less of a chance to get killed (herd mentality). Sorry for the novel, but that's my reasoning behind capping flags instead of fragging.Comment
