    Mx518

I was hoping to get some help here. I use a Logitech MX518 and was successfully using all the buttons. I recently had some issues with my account and I had to delete it and then retrieve it. Ever since them, I have not been able to get any of the extra buttons to work. I went back into the controls in BF2 and reset them to what I used to have. I have since reset the functions in the SetPoint software. Any ideas on what I need/can do in order to get all the extra buttons working again? Thanks.

and start up without the mx518 in!
use the mouse for a bit! shut down again!
unplug mouse start up with no mouse! wait a few sec on ur desktop and plug in ur 518! should reinstall the mouse for u!
then see if ur buttons work!

      Re: Mx518

Thanks for the advice. That's pretty much what I tried late last night. I totally uninstalled the SetPoint software, rebooted with a Microsoft USB mouse and surfed the web for a bit. I then uninstalled the MS software, rebooted, reinstalled the SetPoint software, and rebooted again. After the last reboot, I plugged in the MX 518. I then opened BF2, reset my controls to default, reassigned them to how I wanted them, and closed the game. I then opened the SetPoint software and assigned the buttons on the MX 518 to match BF2. That seemed to work in limited singleplayer testing. Tonight, I will check it out better in multiplayer. Thanks.

I hate the setpoint software. Even when you uninstall it some of the DPI and sensitivity are different from when you first inatll the mouse.
