Since a lot of people have this problem, could it be another patch 1.3 issue?

Hmm...

After I join a server, 10-15 seconds later I get a quick freeze and a lould crackling, beep/sound on my speakers

After this sometimes a few sounds go away, like my sounds when I fire my weapon, they are gone. Sometimes it goes ok, nothing happens, other times I keep hearing strange crackling/mixed up sounds during the game, only go away if I restart the game or restart the computer.

Tried everything, this started happening from last week until now, I haven't found any solution yet.

I have an Audigy 2 ZS. And this game is really weird.
For months never had a problem with sound...
Then suddenly I started having strange issue that during normal gameplay the game simply freezes for like 40 seconds, with a looping sound, then it comes back to normal. Most of times it disconnected me from the server because of the long pause.

And now this new issue, with the sound, this damm crackling and beep with a small freeze. But happens 80% of times I start playing.

I have the same issue with my "Audigy 2 ZS" (just like in your clip), but i never had any problem with sound in BF2, maybe its something with PB...
My friend has Audigy 1 and he has only beep sound problem in start of any game.

Fixed my problems downloading and replacing a Punkbuster .dll file for a new one.

wow, i'll be running pbsetup then... Just started getting this problem a few days ago as well, kind of a distorted beep as I join the game.

Audigy4, latest drivers, blah blah... The search button works again :)

I ran pbsetup, but this dll wasn't updated.

Had to download it manually.

I did the same havent had any problems since though i keep getting the stupid problem with connection thanks guys
