New Hack?

First of all let me say I am just getting back into BF2 after taking a few months off, so if this common knowledge save your flames.

I have noticed several times recently where I will be toning an enemy jet/chopper in the AA and waiting for them to drop their flares before I fire.
I'll let the missile lock go on for 6..7..8.. seconds and they still havent dropped their flares.

So I figure hmmmm, they must not be scared! and let loose.
The INSTANT that I fire the pilot drops his flares.
If it only happened once or twice I would consider it to be a coincidence and just chalk it up to bad luck for me, but I have seen it many many times in the last week or so.

Is there a hack that drops flares when you are fired upon?

i think bf2 isnt smiling on you. u are jus plain unlucky bro. its not a hack. not everything that u cant kill is because of a hack.

Well yeah, that isn't a hack. I don't know why the missle lock took so long, but when you are being locked on to, you will hear "beep beep beep beep beep beep"... etc. When a missle FIRES, you will hear "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!" until it breaks off or hits you.

What I do, I look behind me almost all times, if I see another jet on me, I keep it looking behind me and I will do what I can to lose the jet, and if I see or hear (the solid tone) a missle coming, I will use flares. And the way I use flares, I position them so that they will cover me for a long time.

your just unlucky, try to fire the aa as soon as you see the pilot drop the flares, but they can look behind them and see the missile....

I know you haven't been playing for a while however, please stop saying hack hack hack everytime something seems unusual. :)

PLus yea, the tone changes when a missile get fired at you.

You said the plane was locked for 8 seconds right? Your plane has about 6 missiles. So lets do the math, if you instantly shoot 1 missile after lock, the target with drop flares (like you mentioned) in 3 seconds the enemy's flares are gone, you lock again and he won't have a chance to drop anymore flares so the target is 100% vunerable.

not everything that u cant kill is because of a hack.

Is that what I said? If you lock someone for an extended period of time (over 5 seconds) and they drop flares at the EXACT same time that you fire it is unusual If it happens several times, something is up. Also note, I don't have any problem getting kills.

Douche, could you please show me where I have ever said anything about hacks before? I simply asked a question. There is a question mark right on the title of the thread FFS.

I said I was in AA, I had 2 missiles and try not to waste them.

well when ever i am flying i want till it does that long beep. then i release my flares and do a dive bomb. it does work. sometime.

I got accused of hacking for using an aimbot in a jet...right.

These two clan buddies got pissed off because I kept gunning them down with the F35 as they tried to "own" by dropping bombs all over the place. They expected me to use missles to take them out.

Them: "Is the gun all you use to shoot us down"
Me: "yup:
Them: "Hacker, N2K is using an aimbot"

So see how now even knowing how to fly a jet is being a hacker?

Ontopic: When flying I always watch my back, and when getting locked on I keep the camera looking behind me. Once I see a missle get close to my engines I continue on the menuver I was doing and drop flairs. Never go straight after you drop your flairs, then they will hit for sure.

It's not a hack it's a skill, which in games skill = hack.

who the hell would take the time to make a hack which drops your flares for you. When all you need to do is press x ffs,

A real hack would drop flairs for every missle fired, not just once when you can die ont he second incoming missle.

I thought it searches for a lock and when it does lock thats when the solid beep comes on
