Re: what game let u down the most?
Chromehounds.
not really a big let down, but they promised an immersive single player story, and it takes about 2-3 hours to get through the single player stuff, unlocking everything.
in the online department, it is awesome, as teamwork is essential, and the HOUND customization has tons of options.
If you play 360 online alot, you need this game, but if your not online..... LETDOWN

If we are talking about recent let-downs,
AOE3
Doom3
If we are talking the past,
Most of the C&C stuff.Leave a comment:

Quake 4. I swear to god, the first time I played it, I got bored of the loading and exited it, about 10-15 minutes after I started.
Tried going back a while after that, and it still sucked sh!t.
Doom 3 as well. Not scary at all, just annoying.Leave a comment:

Biggest Letdown:
Soldner, hands down, was the most disappointing game I have ever played. Especially if you had been reading all the previews and what not and expecting it to be a game that semi-replaced OFP and Bf1942. Graphics weren't great, sounds were terrible, riddled with bugs, over half of the features that were supposed to be in it were not, huge letdown.
Runners Up:
Rainbow Six - Lockdown was another letdown. I was so looking forward to that game, because all the other RS games were fantastic (on the PC that is). I was looking forward to a game like Raven Shield and recieved a "fast-paced" POS.
StarWars Battlefront was horrible, it was made around the console verisons and just didn't seem that great. The StarWars mod for BF1942 was better imo. However, the sequel was pretty cool. Its a fun game to load up when a couple of friends are over and try to keep as the "hero" against the bots.
Stronghold 2 was a big letdown, it had some cool features, but it was also missing some other things (like LAN play, until a patch, and still no-coop, and a few others).
Age of Empires 3 was a letdown, the game play just didn't feel the same as AOE1 or 2. Was hoping it would be like AoE 2 with better graphics, and further in the future. Just didn't like the way it played.
Call of Duty 2 was okay, but still a letdown, the graphics and the sound fx were great, but I couldn't get over the stupid "hunker-down-and-wait" heal method or the fact that many of the additions to the game for COD:UO weren't in (like deployable MGs and Sprinting). And I'm still waiting for a good WW2 FPS that has single-player missions that allow you to play as the Germans.
I may add some more if I think of any more...Leave a comment:

Graw - only played the demo but it sucked + no AA it looked ugly with everything up high jaggies still makes it look ugly & the AI was a laugh.
HL2 episode 1 because after the first night of playing it would never load again or freezes up whenever loading.
Half life death match source: The laggy balistics and horrible hit boxes made this a disaster!Leave a comment:

Re: what game let u down the most?
BF2 was awsome to me, it was so bad waiting for the game 2 or 3 months after it had already released (after i had anticapted it so much) because my computer wasn't good enough to run it. I'm not really looking forward to 2142 so i'll wait for another BF game to come out... :|:Leave a comment:

I would have to agree with you for the most part, although I do find Day of Defeat: Source to be fun in short doses.Originally posted by i made youI was talking about Source games hence "everything Source" besides HL2. I also think it's the best engine out there but needs better games.
Team Fortress 2 looks to have potential, from the first art pic', it looks like it may be a very fun game.Leave a comment:

R6 Lockdown was a dissapointment, I'm glad I only played the demo. I cant believe they 'broke' the R6 series. Such a shame...
BF2 has put me down more than one time to be honest...but when it's a good day, it can be fun. :)
Stronghold2 was a major dissapointment for me.
GRAW also. Though, again I only played the demo.Leave a comment:

So, you're saying you were let down by the Source engine? What features on the engine do you feel wasn't upto expectations? I personally think it's the best game engine currently available.
I agree with HL2: Ep1 though, even though I didn't buy it, I read the reviews and almost everyone, whether they liked the game or not, said it was too short. So I am waiting til Ep2 and will buy both at the same time to get something more out of it.Leave a comment:
